This is one of the best adventure tours we have ever done. Alaska is nothing short of amazing and will definitely be back in the future. Our tour guide Mike was awesome, funny, and informative. He was very accommodating and approachable, not to mention his awesome snow driving skills. Food was plentiful and tasty with some great restaurants. If you are into seeing the last frontier and into dog sled racing this is the tour for you without a doubt.

Laurent was the gold standard in guides. I've been traveling the US and the world for over 50 years. This trip- Alaska Northern Lights Tour with his company, Wild Alaska Travel; was par excellence and everything I wanted in my first trip to Alaska: remote places, northern lights, small group, hiking in the tundra... Laurent is always pleasant, prompt, efficient, so friendly and knowledgeable but doesn't talk incessantly. He listened to our input and our group enjoyed joking around. He cooked scrumptious meals, carried the heavy items, woke in middle of night to check on the Aurora borealis for us. We stayed in the best places available in Fairbanks and Wiseman. Trip has been superb in every way! Will find him for my next adventure!!!

I have traveled considerably over the years on all 7 continents. This last trip I took with Wild Alaska Travel on his Alaska Northern Lights Tour last month is way up there with one of my all-time favorites. I wanted to experience Alaska but not with a big cruise ship or bus. This trip was just plain AWESOME. The itinerary was somewhat vague which turned out to be a good thing. With only eight of us (strangers for only a short while) and our Guide, Laurent Dick, we were able to experience a very special remote and beautiful part of Alaska that would otherwise be unattainable. Laurent’s love of Alaska was evident from the start. His quest to show us the Northern Lights was relentless. Each day brought with it a new adventure. I would highly recommend any of his tours for those who like to travel off the beaten path and who have a desire for adventure.

We just completed a week long Northern Lights Tour with Laurent and Wild Alaska Travel. I could not recommend both of them any more. Laurent is the perfect person to lead a small group tour in Alaska. He is knowledgeable, personable, quick witted and truly enthusiastic about what he does. We had a true mixture of personalities in our group and he made everyone feel like they were special. Despite less than ideal weather we were able to enjoy a few excellent Northern Lights displays and shown a great deal of the beauty of northern Alaska above the Arctic Circle. I would highly recommend Laurent and Wild Alaska Tours for any of his tours. We expect to use him again in the future.

Just returned from the Northern Lights Tour last week and it was AMAZING! Laurent is an excellent guide and his love of Alaska is contagious. I hope to go back again and see even more of the state. Even though we had some rain we were able to see the lights dance 2 nights. The flora of the Tundra is mindblowing. This was my first adventure trip and hopefully not my last! Go...you will not be disappointed.

Wow what a fantastic tour. We did the Iditarod Start Tour and Northern Lights Extension Tour with Laurent from Wild Alaska Travel it was fantastic. We were recommended this tour by family members in Australia who have done it previously, it was even better than expected. Every day was jam packed with activities. We would highly recommend this tour, it is first class with high quality accomodation, meals and activities all included. We would also recommend doing the Northern Lights add on tour, it includes a number of very interesting activities and adds another dimension to the overall experience. Laurent the owner and his staff have an emphasis on giving a top shelf experience but in a safe and careing way. His knowledge of all things Alaska is amazing and small groups make the experience so much more intimate. If you are considering an Alaska tour this is the company to go with. Thank you Laurent for everything you did for us on this tour.

Wild Alaska Tours you ROCK! What an amazing week viewing the Northern Lights and traveling up the Dalton Highway! I have done multiple tours over the years but none compare to Wild Alaska Tours!! Laurent you are an amazing tour guide! I felt like I was traveling with one of my close friends!! Thank you for showing us Wild Alaska with such heart and inspiration!! I will be back!!!

I participated in the Fall Northern Lights Tour in September of 2024 and I can honestly say that it was one of, if not THE BEST trip I've ever taken! Laurent is SO knowledgeable about Alaska's history, its topography, wild life and back roads and his road trips are packed with stops to take beautiful hikes, to see glaciers, explore little known trails, pick wild blueberries, skip rocks and to snap photos of wildlife. He has an amazing ability to curate his tours to the needs and interests of his guests. He makes everyone feel welcome and encourages tour participants to get to know one another, which makes for a super fun tour! I highly recommend taking a tour with Wild Alaska Travel and I would not hesitate to go again!

We had a magical Northern Lights and Alaskan Tundra trip with Laurent in the first week of September, 2024. Laurent's love of Alaska is contagious, and his knowledge of everything Alaskan from history and culture to every single plant and seed is astonishing. The group was great and Laurent had organized everything perfectly. His enthusiasm for waking us up practically every night at 1:00 am meant we saw the lights on 4 of 7 nights! Besides the lights, the driving, hiking, learning, laughing, eating and hanging out were all equally fantastic. The Alaskan tundra is magnificent in the Fall. This was absolutely not a touristy trip and we would recommend Laurent and Wild Alaska to anyone who wants to see Alaska in the wild, with good food, good cheer and for an experience of a lifetime.

I went on the fall Alaska Northern Lights Tour and Laurent was amazing as a guide! We had a lot of rain but no matter the weather he always had activities to do, places to see, and he never gave up on getting us to see the aurora. (We did get to see it!) Laurent is knowledgeable about the area, including ecology, attractions, and history, and was always able to tell us interesting facts about local history, the animals, and Alaska culture. Part of our trip was driving the Dalton Highway and Laurent is a calm and capable driver; everyone in our group felt safe in the vehicle for the entire duration, no matter where he drove. All of the lodgings booked by Wild Alaska Travel were comfortable and beautiful. I especially enjoyed the camp-like atmosphere at the lodge in Wiseman. As a woman traveling alone, I always felt secure wherever we went and with everyone in the group. We never had any issues but I feel confident that if we had, they would have been handled promptly and confidentially. Our trip had all meals included and Wild Alaska was careful to provide for every individual's specific dietary needs. The food was delicious and I appreciated that extra step that many tour companies do not take, since it meant I did not have to think about organizing or planning for anything and could 100% step away from responsibilities for my vacation. My Alaska Northern Lights Tour was amazing and I hope to be able to make another trip with Laurent and Wild Alaska Tours!
